Be Cautious! How to Respond to Job Interview Questions

There may be several questions that an interviewer can ask you, but their main concern is to know about  your suitability and sustainability towards the job profile. I am listing a few questions that may be asked during interview and how you can handle them.

1.       May I know about you please?
Answer: explaining yourself may be a tough task, because many people don’t introspect and don’t know why they want to join the job.  You can tell about your hobbies your likes and dislikes but be cautious that these should not contradict your job profile.
For example: If you don’t like to stand for hours and you are applying for a steward’s job, then your application is not accepted. If you don’t like crowd, and you are going for an interview in a shopping mall, forget about the job.

2.  You family background please:  While telling about your background and your family don’t go overboard. Just tell them honestly what your status is and what your family background is. Suppose if you say my father is a big businessman, doesn’t make any sense that you want to work for your living. Just be a normal human being and don’t show off.

3. Your previous job experiences: When talking about your previous job experiences, you have to be a little smart. Here the interviewer wants to check your stability and loyalty towards a company or organization. If you had been a job hopper, don’t tell straight away that you had been joining 4 different companies within a period of one year or so., until you have a strong reason to do so. Just hide the short term stints you had in any organization or don’t talk about them

4. What have been your achievements:  Here the interviewer wants to check what is special in you for the company. You can tell them about the highest achievements during the job or ay awards or appreciation certificate you got during your job.

5.  Your expected salary: Answer to this question is a little tricky. Sometimes, the interviewer wants to check your expectations and their salary matching capacity. At times, they just want to read your mind. You can just say that I would prefer something that is according to the industry standards although you can also tell them the figure that you are looking for and also give them assurance that you would give yourself much more than your salary, in terms of your dedication.
